Maintenance & Reliability Mechanic

Location: Hayward, California, United States; onsite

Salary: $35–$45 per hour, depending on experience

What you will do

• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on manufacturing and process equipment.
• Maintain chemical transfer systems, utilities, PLCs, and mechanical and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues across the site and coordinate resolution with mechanics, operators, and engineers.
• Support equipment and process improvements for daily site operations.
• Use computer software for troubleshooting and operate mechanical lifts.
• Follow safety procedures, use required PPE, and maintain reliable attendance.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; a two-year technical or vocational degree is strongly preferred.
• At least two years of maintenance, electronics, computer, or relevant military experience preferred.
• Experience maintaining mechanical equipment such as pumps and valves required.
• Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems is preferred.
• Ability to use power tools safely, wear a respirator, work in confined areas, and lift or move up to 45 pounds.
• Willingness to work weekends and day or evening shifts, including 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. or 11:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m. schedules.

Nice to have

• Forklift driving experience.
• Two-year technical or vocational degree in a related field.
• Electrical and instrumentation experience.
