Product Lead, BillPay Mexico (SPEI)

What you will do

• Own discovery, prioritization, and product outcomes for the BillPay Mexico squad.
• Design and improve SPEI, domestic, cross-border, and bulk supplier payment flows.
• Manage product relationships with banking partners and support integration negotiations.
• Own compliance signals and workflows related to SAT, CNBV, and PLD/AML requirements.
• Track payment success, settlement, reconciliation, failed-transfer resolution, and retention metrics.
• Prototype with AI coding tools and contribute reviewed changes through Git-based workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, including at least 2 years with payments, banking, or financial infrastructure products.
• Deep knowledge of SPEI, including clearing cycles, return codes, CLABE validation, retry, and fallback flows.
• Experience with cross-border payment rails, banking APIs, correspondent banking, reconciliation, and compliance requirements.
• Technical fluency with AI coding tools, Git, APIs, webhooks, asynchronous payment flows, and idempotency.
• Data literacy with SQL, funnel analysis, and experiment design, plus strong stakeholder management.
• Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish is required; native or near-native Spanish is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP integrations such as SAP, Oracle, Aspel, or CONTPAQi.
• Familiarity with Banxico regulations and SPEI operating rules.
• Experience with production-scale multi-currency or cross-border payment products.
• Advanced SQL, dashboard creation, and reconciliation analysis.
