Student, FCC Finance and Treasury Opportunities (Winter 2027)

Location: Toronto office with a flexible hybrid schedule; current work authorization in Canada is required.

Salary: CAD 23.00–27.00 per hour for undergraduate students.

What you will do

• Analyze sales, operations, and financial data to identify variances, trends, and pricing performance.
• Support analysis of clearing and settlement costs and develop and test finance reporting tools.
• Compile reports for trading and securities lending teams and allocate and book orders accurately.
• Monitor investment portfolio performance, interest revenue, liquidity needs, and financial institution balances.
• Maintain credit and concentration limits, complete interest revenue-sharing calculations, and support regulatory reporting.
• Respond to client inquiries and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce errors.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a university degree in finance, commerce, business, or economics.
• Currently enrolled in a registered co-op program and available full-time for the entire co-op term.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, financial terminology and ratios knowledge, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Ability to manage projects, multiple priorities, and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; advanced Excel skills, including macros or VBA, are an asset.
• Current authorization to work in Canada is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Access.
• Programming skills in Python or SQL.
