Business Analyst, Controllership (Winter 2027 Co-Op)

Location: Downtown Toronto, Canada; hybrid work arrangement. Employees must reside and work within their current Canadian jurisdiction.

A relationship-oriented bank providing financial, management, regulatory reporting, accounting, planning, treasury, investor relations, and business performance services.

What you will do

• Support Finance's process improvement program and new or existing Controllership, Capital Markets, and Wholesale Banking initiatives.
• Assist Middle Office analysts with maintaining existing processes and developing new reports.
• Test systems and databases for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide support to Front Office, Risk Management, and Finance teams.
• Participate in team meetings and identify opportunities to improve existing processes.
• Interact with business partners across different organizational levels.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies after the term.
• Strong problem-solving, writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of database design and database management.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel, including VBA and library design.
• Programming experience with Java, PHP, or Python.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada and able to provide a valid work or study permit where applicable.

Nice to have

• Experience with VBA, SQL, VB.NET, Java, MS Visio, HTML5, or C#.
• French proficiency.
