TL;DR

Location: Ruby Memorial Hospital (WVUH), Morgantown, West Virginia, United States. On-site support may be required at other WVUHS facilities or affiliated sites, including travel for implementations, training, and support.

What you will do

  • Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, IP phones, mobile devices, operating systems, and office software.
  • Diagnose hardware and software issues, identify root causes, recommend long-term solutions, and assist end users with IT requests and trouble calls.
  • Provide on-site technical assistance and training, including support for wired and wireless connectivity.
  • Provide device-level network support and respond to visual and audible system alarms.
  • Coordinate assigned projects and tasks, document risks and work status, follow change-control procedures, and meet project deadlines.
  • Support medical equipment service activities where applicable, including vendor coordination, service documentation, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or a related technical field, or two years of experience supporting personal computer hardware and software.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, workstation, peripheral, and basic network issues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize tasks, make decisions, manage changing workloads, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel independently to other WVUHS facilities or affiliated sites when assigned and accept on-call responsibilities.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of frequent walking, standing, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and responding quickly to system alarms.

Nice to have

  • A+ Certification, CCNA, MCP, or MCSE.
