What you will do

• Lead multiple software development, modernization, and application-support initiatives for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
• Develop project roadmaps, milestones, schedules, budgets, scope controls, and delivery metrics.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, corrective actions, and change-control needs.
• Coordinate requirements analysis, solution planning, development, testing, implementation, and post-release support.
• Support VistA pharmacy capabilities, prescription monitoring, pharmacy safety, system integrations, IFCAP/GIP functionality, and microservices modernization.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies using Scrum and SAFe practices while mentoring project and technical team members.

Requirements

• 10+ years managing software development, modernization, or application-support projects for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
• Knowledge of VA VistA applications and the VistA software development lifecycle.
• Experience with Agile delivery methods, including Scrum or SAFe.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Public Trust determination and eligibility for a U.S. government investigation are required.
• Ability to communicate status, risks, dependencies, corrective actions, and delivery readiness to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with VA pharmacy applications, prescription monitoring, electronic prescribing, controlled substances, or pharmacy safety.
• Experience with IFCAP, GIP, VistA modernization, microservices, or healthcare system integrations.
• Experience supporting VA senior leadership, business owners, or VA OI&T pharmacy stakeholders.
• Knowledge of federal healthcare programs and related operational or compliance environments.
