Materials Management Advisor – Inventory

hirify.global provides staffing support for a 12-month materials management project.

What you will do

• Develop and support site or regional inventory management strategies aligned with operational needs.
• Review material requirements with Operations, Maintenance, Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain stakeholders.
• Analyze inventory levels, improve material availability, reduce excess stock, and optimize working capital.
• Track inventory KPIs and maintain accurate material master data in ERP systems.
• Support spare parts planning, demand planning, stocking-level decisions, and warehouse inventory activities.
• Coordinate physical and cycle counts, reconciliation, surplus and obsolete inventory disposition, process controls, and ERP implementation activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in inventory management, materials management, inventory control, or supply chain operations.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and inventory or supply chain reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and detail-management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, and leadership teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in oil and gas, energy, petrochemical, manufacturing, or another industrial environment.
• Knowledge of equipment, spare parts, and materials used in field, plant, or operational settings.
• Experience with inventory optimization, demand planning, inventory accounting, or statistical analysis.
• Background in warehouse operations, inbound logistics, materials planning, surplus inventory, or ERP deployments.
