Tank Farm Operator

Location: La Porte, Texas, United States; onsite facility work.

Salary: $20.72–$27.60 per hour

What you will do

• Load and unload trucks and railcars.
• Sample tanks, trucks, and railcars and perform tank transfers and decants.
• Operate boilers to steam tanks and railcars, overflow equipment, and the Vapor Combustion Unit.
• Perform general plant upkeep, including custodial duties.
• Follow all safety procedures and complete other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous tank farm experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic and availability as needed.
• Commitment to PSM requirements, safety procedures, and safety programs.
• Ability to learn and adapt to changing operating conditions.
• Ability to pass Basic Plus safety training, HAZWOPER training, a Functional Strength Evaluation, fall protection requirements, and a Respirator Fit Test/Pulmonary Function Test.
