Lab Waste & Facilities Support Technician (Environmental Compliance)

Location: Onsite in Orlando, Florida, USA

Salary: USD 18–23 per hour

What you will do

• Manage hazardous and non-hazardous laboratory waste, including client samples, in accordance with established procedures.
• Handle, classify, label, store, and prepare waste for compliant disposal under OSHA and applicable regulatory standards.
• Collect waste from laboratory departments, maintain waste records, and coordinate pickups with approved vendors.
• Keep waste-management areas clean, organized, and ready for inspection.
• Conduct daily safety walkthroughs, identify hazards, and promote safe work practices.
• Support facility maintenance, sample-kit preparation, shipping and receiving, and sample log-in during peak periods.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Experience with hazardous waste, environmental services, or facility operations is preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures, adapt to changing operational needs, and work in a hands-on environment.
• Reliable, professional, safety-focused approach with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Nice to have

• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, or willingness to obtain it.
