Operations Lead - ES (Environmental Services)

Location: Massena, New York, USA; on-site field operations

Salary: $29.25–$40.20 per hour, with the actual range depending on the hiring locality.

What you will do

• Coordinate and direct daily waste handling operations, crews, equipment, materials, and schedules.
• Lead on-site execution while enforcing safety procedures and providing operational training.
• Oversee inventory, supplies, vendors, transporters, treatment facilities, housekeeping, and storage areas.
• Direct material receipt, off-loading, waste treatment, sampling, analysis, simulations, and post-treatment verification.
• Make operational decisions based on waste profiles and facility permits, including effluent filtration batch clearances.
• Complete and sign RCRA manifests and regulatory records, support maintenance coordination, and participate in emergency response.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of related field or operational experience.
• Knowledge of environmental operations, waste handling and processing, recycling techniques, and safety and regulatory standards.
• Strong operational judgment, problem-solving, decision-making, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of receiving, purchasing, work orders, special licenses, and DOT training.
• Valid driver’s license with an MVR that meets company standards.
• A special license or certificate, such as a CDL, may be required or preferred for certain positions.
