TL;DR
IOP Counselor - LMSW, LADAC II, LPC, LCSW (Behavioral Health): Providing admissions, evidence-based counseling, case management, crisis support, and clinical documentation for an intensive outpatient opioid addiction treatment program with an accent on ASAM Level 2.1 assessments, patient engagement, and regulatory compliance. Focus on delivering Matrix Model, Seeking Safety, and CBT curriculum, developing individualized interventions, and coordinating care with clinical, billing, and community partners.

Location: On-site in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

What you will do

  • Conduct admissions and periodic assessments using ASAM criteria for Level 2.1 intensive outpatient care.
  • Provide evidence-based counseling, targeted case management, crisis support, and transitional counseling.
  • Deliver Matrix Model, Seeking Safety, and CBT curriculum for at least 3 hours per day, 4 days per week.
  • Develop assessments, treatment plans, individualized interventions, and compliant clinical documentation.
  • Support patient engagement, identify underlying health needs, and coordinate care with clinical, billing, and support teams.
  • Represent the IOP program through referral-partner engagement, community outreach, and program development.

Requirements

  • Hold one of the following credentials: LPC, LADAC I, LADAC II, LCSW, or LMSW.
  • If not fully licensed, be enrolled in or willing to begin a formal course of study toward licensure at the date of hire.
  • Knowledge of substance use disorders, treatment planning, and social services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, judgment, discretion, and crisis-response ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant documentation.

  • Experience with outreach and community engagement.
