Clinical Supervisor (Substance Use Treatment)

What you will do

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate counselors working toward certification or licensure.
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions and provide counseling required by regulations.
• Develop and revise patient treatment plans, document patient contacts, and coordinate case-management follow-ups.
• Provide hands-on training through observation, case-record review, peer file reviews, and weekly supervision sessions.
• Coordinate care with community providers, participate in treatment-team meetings, and handle crisis interventions.
• Support program implementation, caseload management, clinical quality, and compliance with applicable regulations and accreditation standards.

Requirements

• Active LMSW or LPC license in the state of Michigan.
• Knowledge of human behavior, substance abuse treatment, rehabilitation of drug-dependent patients, and treatment planning.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and make sound decisions in stressful situations.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters and use basic computer and office equipment.
• Ability to work in a medical office environment with prolonged sitting, keyboarding, and interaction with patients who may have infectious diseases, mental health diagnoses, or criminal justice involvement.
