Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the office. Willingness to travel and work on-site with customers is required.

Salary: $180,000–$200,000 base salary per year for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area, plus potential bonus or sales incentive and RSUs.

What you will do

• Drive adoption of Fin by helping customers automate and scale support operations.
• Work directly with strategic customers to understand business challenges and technical requirements.
• Code alongside customer engineering teams and deliver projects through completion.
• Collaborate with Sales, Success, Product, R&D, and Go-to-Market teams on delivery and product feedback.
• Codify best practices and share insights to help scale the Forward Deployed Software Engineering function.

Requirements

• Strong engineering background and experience building SaaS products used in real-world environments.
• Interest in AI/ML and ability to understand new problems, architectures, trade-offs, and limitations.
• Deep knowledge of at least one high-level programming language, such as JavaScript, Python, or Ruby.
• Ability to prototype and ship software quickly while maintaining quality and business focus.
• Proficiency in using and writing REST APIs.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required.

• Experience as a founder or early-stage startup engineer.
