Localization QA Specialist (Spanish, Mexico)

What you will do

• Proofread and refine AI-translated copy across buttons, dialogs, notifications, settings, and other UI elements.
• Run in-app linguistic QA to identify translation errors, truncation, layout issues, context problems, and awkward wording.
• Review copy for Mexican language usage, user expectations, and cultural alignment.
• Translate, review, and localize promotions, App Store listings, push notifications, in-app campaigns, and social media content.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to identify localization issues early and improve quality.

Requirements

• Native or full professional proficiency in Mexican Spanish (es-MX), including grammar, idioms, tone, and cultural nuance.
• At least 1 year of experience in localization, UI translation, or linguistic QA for apps, software, or websites.
• Strong attention to translation accuracy, terminology consistency, UI truncation, formatting, and cultural suitability.
• Understanding of UI/UX fundamentals, including character limits, responsive layouts, and translated text behavior in interface components.
• Strong copywriting and transcreation skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CAT tools and AI-assisted translation workflows.
• Experience or strong interest in AI, imaging, or photo-editing applications.
