Localization Quality Manager (AI)

Location: Rome, Italy, with flexible remote work and periodic presence required at the Rome HQ

Salary: €28,000–€48,000 per year, with higher compensation possible for exceptionally strong candidates.

What you will do

• Define quality requirements and frameworks for human and machine translation workflows.
• Develop client-specific training and testing programs and deliver performance improvement plans for linguists.
• Manage machine translation assets, translation memories, glossaries, and style guides.
• Oversee linguists, Language Experts, and Language Leads while monitoring and improving performance.
• Analyze quality metrics and turn data into actionable continuous-improvement plans.
• Present quality data and improvement plans to clients and collaborate with project, account, and Data Science teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in the localization industry, focused on Quality Management.
• Excellent knowledge of English; knowledge of another language is preferred.
• Strong computer and web skills.
• Experience with automatic quality estimation for machine translation and machine translation quality best practices.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience in teaching or training, and business, management, or translation education, are preferred.
