Tire and Battery Service Advisor (Automotive)

Location: Onsite at 16100 Harlem Ave, Tinley Park, Illinois, United States

Salary: $20.00–$28.00 per hour, plus possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.

What you will do

• Maintain safety, cleanliness, organization, merchandising, and compliance standards across the Tire and Battery Center.
• Monitor tire and battery orders, assist with installation appointments, communicate changes, and recommend alternative fitments or services.
• Provide product recommendations, explain warranties, support purchasing decisions, and resolve member concerns.
• Prioritize service-bay workflows, coordinate appointments, and refer service needs to TBC Team Leads and Technicians.
• Operate TBC equipment, complete vehicle service requests and documentation, and handle merchandise, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Use digital tools, Sam's Garage, point-of-sale systems, and handheld devices while supporting training and development of team members.

Requirements

• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, tire and battery industry guidelines, equipment requirements, and applicable laws.
• Ability to provide professional and empathetic service, including handling challenging situations.
• Ability to operate cash registers, process transactions, and use digital service and sales tools.

Nice to have

• Auto service industry experience.
• Retail experience.
