Manufacturing Intern - Summer 2027

Location: New Hudson, Michigan, United States

Salary: $18.00–$37.00 per hour

What you will do

• Develop process flow charts for low-volume production activities.
• Conduct time studies and analyze manufacturing processes.
• Write detailed work instructions for production operations.
• Select assembly tools and equipment.
• Develop plant and production-cell layouts.
• Collaborate with the production team on daily activities and long-term improvement projects.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• Have basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, strong communication skills, and a strong work ethic.
• Have reliable transportation.

Nice to have

• Vehicle and system troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of assembly, fabrication, and machining processes.
• Experience with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Creo.
