Employee Benefits Select Senior Account Manager

Location: Remote role associated with Florham Park, Toms River, Melville, Rye Brook, and Uniondale, United States

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 per year, plus a target incentive of 5%

What you will do

• Manage and retain a book of assigned small employee benefits accounts while serving as the primary day-to-day client contact.
• Independently service a high volume of accounts using carrier websites, online rating systems, and agency management platforms.
• Manage renewal, marketing, and placement processes, including comparing carrier quotes, recommending products, and communicating final placement details.
• Provide technical guidance on employee benefits insurance and compliance topics, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, Form 5500 filings, and Health Care Reform.
• Coordinate client communications, employee benefit materials, enrollment procedures, claims support, and benefit plan explanations.
• Maintain accurate records, meet client deliverable standards, participate in peer reviews, and stay current with industry technology and trends.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in employee benefits or insurance.
• Active life and disability insurance license.
• Strong oral and written communication, customer service, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.
• Ability to handle complex tasks with multiple concrete and abstract variables and work independently with minimal instruction.
• Comfort with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
• College degree and customer service experience are preferred.
