What you will do

• Act as a relationship manager between insurance agents, regional underwriting teams, and corporate departments.
• Assess agent strengths and weaknesses to achieve mutual goals of profitable growth in volume and policy count.
• Make consistent underwriting decisions and ensure adherence to company pricing philosophies.
• Perform risk inspections and provide recommendations for improvement or correction of deficiencies.
• Audit agent books of business and provide quality assurance feedback to agents and underwriting teams.
• Collaborate with CMS, Loss Control, and Bond representatives to identify new growth opportunities.

Requirements

• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to travel 40-50% of the time within the territory.
• 5+ years of experience in underwriting, marketing, or field underwriting.
• Proven track record in establishing, prioritizing, and achieving business goals.
• Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• College degree preferred.

Nice to have

• 3 years of experience in Agency Management or rating.
• 2 years of experience in Claims or Loss Control Inspection.
