Software Engineer Intern (Connected Systems)

What you will do

• Design, test, and implement scalable and secure software components.
• Write, test, debug, and optimize code under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Develop solutions spanning embedded systems, IoT devices, cloud services, and user-facing applications.
• Troubleshoot software and support integration across systems.
• Research technologies, tools, and engineering best practices.
• Document work and present findings or progress to the engineering team.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Programming experience with at least one of C#, Python, JavaScript, or C++.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD systems.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, independent-work, and teamwork skills.
• Full-time availability for 40 hours per week during standard business hours, with flexibility for academic schedules and project deadlines.

Nice to have

• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with React, Angular, backend systems, or SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with IoT devices, robotics, or embedded platforms such as Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or ROS.
