Maintenance Mechanic (Weekend Day Shift - Fri–Sun, 6 AM–6 PM) (Manufacturing)

Location: Rockland, Massachusetts, United States; onsite at the Rockland plant. Weekend day shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM. Training takes place Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, for six months. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Salary: $34.52 per hour plus a $3.00 per hour shift differential.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment according to maintenance plans and equipment manuals.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and align mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
• Troubleshoot AC and DC electrical equipment, motors, controls, drives, relays, switches, and power supplies.
• Use safe and efficient work practices while following company safety and quality policies.
• Communicate maintenance information with staff at all levels and answer operational questions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of industrial maintenance experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• Ability to work the scheduled weekend day shift and complete the six-month weekday training schedule.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Successful completion of required testing during the selection process.

Nice to have

• Experience reading drawings and schematics and using test devices.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing control components.
• Ability to use computerized maintenance management systems to document completed work.
