Senior Space Systems Engineer, SSIO

What you will do

• Lead the development and integration of current and future space capabilities across system-of-systems and family-of-systems architectures.
• Perform mission engineering, Design Reference Mission analysis, capability reviews, risk assessments, and cross-domain opportunity analysis.
• Develop enterprise requirements, JCIDS documentation, integration strategies, digital engineering frameworks, and technical project artifacts.
• Assess space and missile systems, C2, ground systems, data transport, interoperability, resilience, and space sensing technologies.
• Coordinate with government, SETA, FFRDC, contractor, SWAC, CSRO/S5R, and PEO stakeholders to deliver integrated SATCOM, PNT, missile warning, TacISR, launch, and BMC3 solutions.
• Lead project planning, task decomposition, reporting, briefings, white papers, strategic roadmaps, and senior-leadership communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, engineering, physics, earth science, mathematics, operations analysis, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying space systems within the USSF or DoD mission space.
• Strong experience in systems engineering, mission analysis, and system-of-systems integration.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and briefing complex technical topics to senior decision-makers.
• Eligibility for Top Secret / SCI clearance is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time; proficiency with Microsoft Office is required, while JIRA and Confluence familiarity is desired.
