Senior Systems Engineer (MILSATCOM)

What you will do

• Lead systems engineering and acquisition activities for Strategic SATCOM, NC3, and enterprise space systems.
• Develop architecture concepts, technical baselines, requirements, modernization strategies, and acquisition documentation.
• Conduct trade studies and technical assessments covering cost, schedule, performance, and risk.
• Support CONOPS development, operational analysis, mission planning, digital engineering, and data management.
• Coordinate government agencies, operational users, contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate integrated product teams, technical working groups, engineering reviews, milestone events, and executive decision briefings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aerospace engineering, systems engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience supporting DoD, Space Force, Air Force, Navy, or related acquisition programs.
• Experience with systems engineering, technical baseline management, SATCOM space systems, ground systems, or terminal systems.
• Experience with ESS, Protected SATCOM, NC3, GPS, PNT, or MILSATCOM programs and Integrated Product Teams.
• Familiarity with DoD acquisition lifecycle processes, regulations, stakeholder coordination, and Microsoft Office.
• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering, systems engineering, business, or an equivalent field.
• Experience with CONOPS, modernization, technology insertion, technical trade studies, and architecture evaluations.
• Experience with international partners, joint-service organizations, veteran or government acquisition experience.
• INCOSE CSEP or ESEP certification.
