Assistant Superintendent (Solar Construction)

Location: Full-time onsite at a jobsite in Peoria, Illinois, with travel required to the Midwest Region. The posting also lists San Diego, California. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $90,000–$117,000 per year.

What you will do

• Plan, organize, and direct field construction and maintenance activities through successful project completion.
• Lead and coordinate field construction teams, subcontractors, owners, contractors, and design professionals.
• Maintain the CPM job schedule and manage planning, materials, tools, supply allocation, and cost control.
• Enforce safety procedures, participate in safety training, and maintain quality control standards.
• Review drawings, specifications, and subcontractor submittals; resolve construction issues and manage punch lists.
• Coordinate start-up testing, turnover to the owner, final close-out, and owner acceptance.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or equivalent experience including 2–4 years as a general foreman.
• Extensive field construction experience in a supervisory role and working knowledge of all construction trades.
• Foreman or journeyman experience in at least one trade, or project engineering experience.
• Current Safety Trained Supervisor certification, or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire and maintain active certification.
• Knowledge of OSHA laws, job scheduling, planning, expediting, cost control, and construction problem-solving.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship is required.
