Assistant Superintendent (Homebuilding)

Location: Tampa, Florida, United States; daily reporting to the division office, corporate office, or assigned community is required

What you will do

• Learn and support the end-to-end homebuilding process for assigned homes.
• Assist with construction planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and cost control.
• Coordinate and evaluate subcontractors based on quality, safety, scheduling, and cost performance.
• Enforce site safety programs, company standards, and applicable safety regulations.
• Support timely delivery of high-quality homes within budget.
• Communicate with buyers throughout construction, including pre-construction meetings, home demonstrations, delivery, and post-close warranty issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate or technical degree in construction or a related field is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication, organization, computer, and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to learn quickly, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Customer-service orientation with a focus on buyer satisfaction.
• Ability to report daily to the division or corporate office or assigned community and move around the work environment as needed.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle if applicable and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
