Senior Network Automation Architect (Python/Java)

Location: Budapest, Pécs, Debrecen, or Szeged, Hungary. Remote work is available only within Hungary due to European taxation regulation.

What you will do

• Shape and evolve the architecture of Multi-Domain Orchestrator network automation capabilities.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation components and scripts for network elements, services, and network functions.
• Translate business, service, and network requirements into reusable automation designs with domain experts, customers, Product Owners, and engineering teams.
• Contribute to architecture and design reviews, lifecycle management, versioning, and technical guidelines.
• Implement service workflows and integrations using YANG, YAML, JSON, RESTful APIs, and applicable orchestration technologies.
• Support technical alignment and engineering quality across distributed teams through Git, CI/CD, testing, DevOps, and Agile practices.

Requirements

• Strong experience designing and developing network automation or orchestration solutions.
• Strong object-oriented engineering skills in Python or Java, with the ability to work with the other language.
• Experience with YANG, YAML, JSON, RESTful APIs, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and code reviews.
• Good understanding of WAN, LAN, routing, modern transport networks, and telecommunications service or resource lifecycles.
• Experience working with distributed international, cross-functional teams and technical and business stakeholders.
• English proficiency at least at Level B2 is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with TM Forum SID, TM Forum Open APIs, SDN, cloud networking, or 5G slicing.
• Experience with TOSCA, BPMN, Camunda, or other workflow engines.
• Knowledge of telco operational processes such as fulfilment, assurance, OSR, or ITIL.
• Experience with application and container concepts, software packaging, and configuration management.
• German language skills.
