Nursing Faculty - Pearland

Location: Pearland, Texas, USA; full-time role involving classroom, online, clinical, laboratory, and simulation teaching.

Salary: $75,000–$95,000 per year, adjusted based on experience, training, geographic location, licensure, certifications, market factors, departmental budgets, and responsibilities.

What you will do

• Teach assigned nursing courses in classroom, online, clinical, laboratory, and simulation formats, including flexible evening and weekend classes.
• Implement course curricula and teaching materials using technology and evidence-based methods.
• Evaluate student performance, provide timely feedback and remediation, and support student learning outcomes.
• Lead or support clinical, laboratory, and simulation learning while connecting theory to safe, ethical, and professional practice.
• Mentor students and new faculty, participate in committees and program evaluation, and contribute to service and scholarship.
• Maintain teaching, subject matter, regulatory, and practice credentials through ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in nursing required; a PhD in a field appropriate to the teaching profession is preferred.
• Current, unencumbered Texas professional nurse licensure or eligibility to obtain it is required.
• At least two years of clinical nursing experience.
• Experience or capability with learning management systems, simulation equipment, online platforms, and AI-supported teaching tools.
• Strong communication, initiative, judgment, conflict management, collaboration, and emotional and social intelligence.
• Maintain required regulatory and practice credentials and meet applicable state authorization and clinical compliance requirements.

Nice to have

• PhD in a field appropriate to the teaching profession.
• Experience conducting or disseminating scholarship related to teaching or nursing practice.
