Assistant Dean of Nursing

Location: Fresno, CA, USA; campus-based position

Salary: USD 125,000–135,000 per year

What you will do

• Support the Dean in planning, managing, evaluating, and improving the nursing program.
• Coordinate faculty and staff activities, clinical calendars, student records, policies, budgets, supplies, and program documentation.
• Assess clinical sites, coordinate student placements and faculty assignments, maintain clinical partnerships, and oversee clinical evaluations.
• Teach approximately 50% of the workload in skills labs, simulation labs, and/or clinical settings.
• Lead instructional planning, faculty development, student advising, admissions support, orientation, and at-risk student meetings.
• Ensure program reporting, compliance, documentation, graduation readiness, and state licensing examination requirements are completed.

Requirements

• Current, valid, and clear California Registered Nursing License for California locations, or an RN license from the state where the workforce development site is located.
• Master’s or higher degree with coursework in nursing, education, or administration, or a BSN with enrollment in an MSN program.
• At least one year of teaching experience in a pre- or post-licensure nursing program.
• At least one continuous year of direct patient-care experience as a registered nurse or equivalent experience recognized by the Board of Nursing.
• Leadership, supervision, planning, budget preparation, communication, collaboration, and diverse-team management skills.
• Technology proficiency with MS Teams, Zoom, and learning management systems.
