Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing Education

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas, United States; faculty must be physically on campus as needed.

What you will do

• Teach and manage didactic, clinical, skills, and simulation-based nursing courses.
• Implement and evaluate student learning and contribute to curriculum quality and instruction.
• Mentor, advise, recruit, and support BSN prelicensure students, including clinical placement.
• Conduct student formative and summative evaluations, remediation, test writing, and test analysis.
• Participate in clinical site visits, faculty meetings, committees, admissions, accreditation, and program assessment.
• Collaborate with program coordinators, faculty, peers, and community practice partners.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of clinical nursing experience.
• Current unencumbered RN and/or APRN license in Texas, or eligibility for Texas licensure at the time of hire.
• If applying as an APRN, current FNP board certification from AANP or ANCC is required.
• Ability to work physically on the Corpus Christi campus as needed.

Nice to have

• One to two years of academic teaching experience.
• Experience teaching classroom or didactic courses or participating in healthcare simulations.
• Nursing practice specialty certification such as CNE, RNC-OB, or CHSE.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across disciplines and with community practice partners.
