Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships (AI)

Location: Hybrid, based in the Long Island City office three days per week; periodic travel within New York State for partner site visits, approximately once per quarter. Mondays and Fridays may be worked from anywhere.

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 base per year, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Own day-to-day relationships and delivery across workforce, higher education, employer, and economic development partners.
• Coordinate partnership operating rhythms, agreements, deliverables, timelines, risk resolution, onboarding, and reusable operating materials.
• Manage public grants and contracts from post-award through closeout, including workplans, reporting, compliance, audit readiness, and subrecipient monitoring.
• Translate external commitments into internal project plans and run cross-functional check-ins, milestone reviews, and status tracking.
• Coordinate with Program, Instruction, Admissions, Recruitment, and Finance on staffing, curriculum adaptation, enrollment, budgets, contracting, and partner payments.
• Represent hirify.global in external meetings and use ecosystem insights to support partnership strategy, thought leadership, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience across partnerships, grants or contract management, policy, or program operations.
• Direct experience managing state, federal, or city government funding, including reporting and compliance obligations.
• Demonstrated project management experience with multiple external organizations and no direct authority over them.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong prioritization, and the ability to manage hard external deadlines.
• Detail-oriented execution combined with systemic process improvement and cross-functional decision-making.
• Genuine interest in AI, workforce development, and economic mobility.

Nice to have

• Experience with workforce and higher education institutions.
• Familiarity with subrecipient monitoring, cost reimbursement contracts, or multi-party subgrant structures.
• Experience launching a new program, partnership, or market.
• Hands-on fluency with AI tools in daily workflows.
