Associate Corporate Counsel, General Litigation

Location: Remote - US

Salary: $141,600–$177,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable.

What you will do

• Assess lawsuits, demand letters, customer complaints, and other actual or potential legal threats.
• Draft and review court filings with outside counsel and support litigation from initial assessment through resolution.
• Work with opposing counsel to resolve disputes and legal threats when appropriate.
• Partner with internal teams to identify litigation risks and develop strategies to reduce exposure.
• Represent the company in small claims court as needed.
• Support investigations and responses to regulatory and Attorneys General inquiries related to customer complaints.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant litigation experience; law firm experience is preferred and in-house experience is a plus.
• Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Active membership in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar or eligibility for admission as in-house counsel in Massachusetts.
• Practical ability to analyze legal issues, assess risk, and develop thoughtful solutions.
• Strong organization, communication, collaboration, writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• A gaming license issued by the appropriate state agency may be required as a condition of employment.
