Senior ICT Designer

Location: Hybrid in Birmingham, United Kingdom, with flexible working from different hirify.global offices and site visits.

What you will do

• Manage, coordinate, and produce ICT designs for high-scale projects.
• Analyse complex engineering problems and develop effective solutions.
• Support projects from concept through construction, including site visits and ICT system walkdowns.
• Prepare ICT punch lists with CQV and contribute to client and hirify.global meetings.
• Assemble and manage ICT packages for bids, approvals, and construction issue.
• Design containment, copper and fibre cabling, racks, ICT rooms, wireless systems, LANs, AV, power, cooling, earthing, fire stopping, and suppression systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of formal experience in ICT engineering design.
• Engineering degree or equivalent is desirable.
• Chartered status or progress toward chartership.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including preparation of specifications and contract documents.
• Awareness of American and European telecommunications industry standards.
• Professional approach with a strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental protection, and business ethics.

Nice to have

• RCDD certification.
• CNET certification, such as CDCDP or CNIDP.
• Experience working in a BIM environment with Revit, Navisworks, or AutoCAD.
• Experience developing FEED, concept, basis-of-design, and detailed design documentation.
