Location: Newbury, United Kingdom; hybrid work with office attendance 2–3 days per week and at least 8 days per month

hirify.global is building and operating a UK-wide telecommunications network connecting mobile, broadband, enterprise, and internal services.

What you will do

• Shape the evolution of the IP/MPLS, SDN, and transport network architecture and roadmaps.
• Support the integration of legacy hirify.global and Three transport networks and ensure interoperability.
• Design core, aggregation, backhaul, and IP service solutions for mobile, broadband, enterprise, and internal networks.
• Contribute to network automation, orchestration, service management, assurance, and configuration platforms.
• Drive infrastructure and service testing, including automated testing, capacity planning, lifecycle management, and configuration governance.
• Work with engineering, operations, cybersecurity, vendors, and service integrators on secure-by-design solutions and long-term network investment planning.

Requirements

• SC Clearance is essential.
• Degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of transport network engineering experience in a telecommunications environment.
• Strong expertise in IP/MPLS and transport technologies, including optical, microwave, SDH, and Ethernet networks.
• Knowledge of SDN, NFV, cloud networking, 5G transport technologies, network automation, orchestration, and operational tooling.
• Strong technical decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
