Infrastructure Engineer (VMware/OT)

What you will do

• Design, build and configure VMware, physical server and virtual server environments.
• Support Windows and Linux infrastructure platforms and host OT and industrial applications.
• Install, configure, integrate and validate applications and supporting infrastructure before deployment.
• Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, production go-live, migrations, upgrades and infrastructure refresh programmes.
• Configure Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and related infrastructure services while supporting storage, backup, recovery and disaster recovery solutions.
• Perform health checks, troubleshooting, performance analysis, hardening, patching and vulnerability remediation, and provide technical consultancy to customers.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with VMware and Windows Server build, configuration and administration.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux or equivalent Linux platforms, physical and virtual server deployment, and application hosting infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, networking, VLANs, firewalls and segmentation.
• Experience with high availability, clustering, enterprise server hardware, SAN, NAS, backup and disaster recovery technologies.
• Experience with system testing, validation, acceptance activities and technical infrastructure documentation.
• Experience in OT, industrial, energy, utilities or critical national infrastructure environments is highly desirable.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IEC 62443, NCSC CAF or OT cyber security principles.
