Operational Technology (OT) Engineers

Location: Romney Marsh, UK; onsite five days per week. Region: South East UK. BPSS security clearance is required or must be attainable.

What you will do

• Provide technical support for OT systems and cyber security management throughout the system lifecycle.
• Manage configuration control, system data, tools, and repositories.
• Support OT security, regulatory compliance, and industrial safety activities in a nuclear environment.
• Act as a point of contact for site OT security matters, including Plant Computer Systems Security and Blue Team activities.
• Maintain plant network diagrams, OT asset registers, security cases, operating procedures, and cyber incident response processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and team development.

Requirements

• Degree in Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent military experience.
• Understanding of the OT/I&C systems lifecycle, including configuration control, security considerations, and in-service management.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience, including experience with OT systems, industrial control systems, configuration management, or cyber security.
• Eligible for or holding UK security clearance and able to complete BPSS checks.
• Knowledge of system reliability, fault tolerance, proof testing, maintenance, and through-life asset management.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IEC 62443, the NIST Cyber Security Framework, or IEC 61508.
• Interest in OT cyber security, industrial networks, and infrastructure systems.
