Security Design & Implementation Specialist (Cybersecurity)

Location: Glasgow or Belfast, United Kingdom; strong onsite presence with the customer required

What you will do

• Provide technical security leadership and oversight for a strategic banking customer contract.
• Lead customer workshops, capture business and technical requirements, and translate them into robust security designs.
• Act as the design and implementation authority for complex security solutions and platform architectures.
• Produce and maintain HLDs, LLDs, security processes, operational procedures, standards, and work instructions.
• Build trusted relationships with technical, operational, leadership, risk, compliance, and supplier stakeholders.
• Assess customer threat landscapes, risk profiles, regulatory obligations, and strategic security objectives.

Requirements

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical, leadership, project, risk, compliance, and supplier groups.
• Experience delivering large-scale, complex security or infrastructure projects from requirements gathering through operational handover.
• Experience designing and implementing security solutions across cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and security platforms, Cisco Firepower Threat Defence, or Juniper SRX security gateways.
• Working knowledge of enterprise IP networking, routing, network segmentation, and security architecture.
• Ability to establish a strong onsite presence with the customer in Glasgow or Belfast.
