Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (AI, React, Node.js & TypeScript)

Location: Berlin, Germany; fully remote day-to-day work with on-site collaboration in Berlin when larger features, architectural decisions, and brainstorming require it

What you will do

• Build production-grade applications with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js across user interfaces, APIs, and services.
• Design AI-native experiences, including conversational UIs, agent-driven workflows, and natural-language interactions.
• Use AI to accelerate exploration, prototyping, implementation, debugging, and testing while maintaining control of architecture and quality.
• Shape scalable architectures, APIs, and data structures across the full stack.
• Work with Product, UX/UI, and Engineering to understand customer and business needs and make effective product decisions.
• Raise standards for testing, performance, maintainability, and engineering quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on full-stack JavaScript experience and a track record of shipping real applications.
• Strong experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and modern web architectures.
• Confident technical decision-making around architecture, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Hands-on experience building and testing production-grade software with Jest, Vitest, or Node.js testing.
• Experience with REST APIs, database design, and SQL.
• Ownership of outcomes, product thinking, and the ability to turn ambiguity into usable products.

Nice to have

• GraphQL experience.
• Experience with AI-first interfaces, agent workflows, or natural-language products.
• AWS, Jenkins, Grafana, Graylog, Confluence, Jira, or shell scripting experience.
• A portfolio, side project, or demo repository showing production-ready work.
