Associate Technician (Aerospace/Defence)

What you will do

• Assemble new-build products and repair customer products in line with drawings and manufacturing instructions.
• Test products, perform final ATP, and verify that units meet all Product Test Schedule parameters before release.
• Diagnose faults in units that fail ATP and prepare comprehensive strip reports for customer returns.
• Identify recurring problems and recommend corrective solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Act as the production cell link with quality, engineering, and other business functions.
• Participate in training, continuous improvement, and company procedures.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in the UK without restrictions under UK National Law and successfully complete the required level of UK National Security Vetting.
• At least 6 months of broad-based cell experience and an understanding of the range and complexity of products manufactured by the cell.
• Three years of experience in an aerospace or defence environment and/or a formal engineering qualification such as NVQ, C&G, or ONC.
• IPC certification and a full understanding of the responsibilities of an Eaton MSD Cheltenham certified inspection stamp holder.
• Thorough knowledge of continuous improvement methods, particularly lean, with the ability to challenge ineffective operations constructively.
• Evidence of an eye test within the last two years and appropriate follow-up actions where required.
