Space Junior Electrical and Mechanical AIT Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Perform spacecraft and satellite assembly, integration, and test activities.
• Install harnesses, integrate equipment, conduct electrical testing, and troubleshoot issues.
• Support mechanical subsystem installation, alignment, inspections, and verification.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate spacecraft systems.
• Execute test procedures, analyse results, and support anomaly investigations.
• Maintain accurate documentation while following quality, safety, and programme requirements.

Requirements

• Experience in a spacecraft or satellite Assembly, Integration and Test environment.
• Strong electrical integration and test experience, with the ability to support mechanical integration.
• Hands-on experience with complex aerospace or space systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and test documentation.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
• Ability to work onsite in Guildford, United Kingdom and meet applicable security-clearance criteria.

Nice to have

• Experience in electrical and mechanical AIT within the space or aerospace sector.
• Experience with spacecraft, satellite, or payload integration processes.
• Fault investigation and troubleshooting experience during integration and testing.
• Experience working in cleanroom and controlled engineering environments.
