TL;DR
Senior Front-End Developer (Shopify): Building and continuously improving Shopify Plus themes and customer-facing storefront experiences across multiple international e-commerce markets with an accent on performance, accessibility, reusable components, and conversion optimisation. Focus on leading front-end architecture, implementing experimentation and analytics-driven improvements, and integrating storefronts with third-party services and internal platforms.

What you will do
- Own the architecture, development, and continuous improvement of Shopify Plus themes across multiple storefronts and international markets.
- Translate customer insight, commercial priorities, and design concepts into reusable front-end experiences that improve conversion and customer experience.
- Optimise storefront performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and Core Web Vitals.
- Partner with e-commerce, marketing, creative, and technical teams on analytics, experimentation, and CRO initiatives.
- Establish front-end engineering standards, component libraries, testing practices, and technical documentation.
- Lead projects from discovery and technical design through implementation, release, and post-launch monitoring.
Requirements
- Substantial hands-on experience delivering production front-end solutions in the Shopify ecosystem.
- Advanced Shopify Liquid experience in Shopify Plus environments.
- Strong expertise in modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including browser performance and rendering behaviour.
- Experience building scalable, reusable front-end components for complex, high-traffic e-commerce websites.
- Strong knowledge of Git, code review, testing practices, and modern deployment workflows.
- Excellent communication skills, commercial awareness, technical leadership, and the ability to work independently.
Nice to have
- Experience with Shopify Storefront, GraphQL or REST APIs, third-party integrations, Shopify Functions, and UI Extensions.
- Experience developing embedded Shopify admin apps with React Router, App Bridge, and Polaris.
- Experience with theme app extensions, Cloudflare Workers, server-side services, automations, or edge functionality.
- Experience with CRO platforms, analytics implementation, feature flags, personalisation, design systems, and visual regression or end-to-end testing.
