TL;DR
Software Engineer Frontend (JavaScript/TypeScript): Designing and developing scalable user experiences for creating, configuring, testing, deploying, and managing communications products with an accent on interactive interfaces, reusable components, and accessibility. Focus on integrating frontend applications with APIs and AI/ML capabilities, solving complex interaction challenges, and maintaining performance, reliability, and browser compatibility.
Location: United Kingdom; primarily remote with occasional visits to the Bristol or London office

What you will do
- Design and develop intuitive, scalable interfaces for creating, configuring, testing, deploying, and managing products.
- Build interactive web applications with reusable components, component libraries, and design systems.
- Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs, asynchronous services, backend systems, and AI/ML outputs.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, frontend and backend engineers, and AI/ML teams to deliver reliable customer experiences.
- Improve frontend performance, accessibility, security, browser compatibility, and maintainability.
- Participate in testing, code reviews, CI/CD, troubleshooting, and production deployment practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience, including modern frontend development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript and experience with React or Angular.
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and modern browser technologies.
- Experience with frontend architecture, state management, automated testing, source control, code reviews, CI/CD, and deployment.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with familiarity with Agile development.
