Reporter - High Yield

Location: New York, United States

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year, negotiable depending on experience and skills.

What you will do

• Break news on companies issuing or refinancing bonds.
• Report, write, and file copy on a daily basis.
• Produce in-depth articles on investor sentiment, new issuance, and broader market trends.
• Build and maintain relationships with market sources through networking and meetings.
• Contribute to conferences, databases, webinars, podcasts, and coverage beyond assigned beats.
• Travel within the region as necessary.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience covering debt markets.
• Strong writing skills and an investigative mindset.
• Knowledge of bond markets, private credit, or leveraged loans.
• Experience reporting on mergers and acquisitions is beneficial.
• Strong time management, communication, networking, and contact-building skills.
• Ability to work on-site in New York.
