Product Development Manager (Beauty)

Location: Los Angeles HQ; onsite

Salary: $120,000–$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end development of beauty products from concept and formulation through testing, packaging, production, and launch.
• Translate creative and brand concepts into product briefs, specifications, timelines, and deliverables.
• Coordinate laboratories, contract manufacturers, packaging suppliers, and other external development partners.
• Manage packaging sampling, compatibility, functionality, testing, approvals, and production readiness.
• Own development timelines, milestones, risks, costs, vendor performance, and launch readiness across multiple products.
• Partner with Creative, Brand, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Quality, and Finance teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product development experience in beauty, cosmetics, skincare, body care, fragrance, or a related consumer category.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end beauty product development and commercialization.
• Experience with formulation development, packaging development, product testing, manufacturing, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working with beauty laboratories, contract manufacturers, packaging suppliers, and component vendors.
• Ability to manage multiple complex product development projects, timelines, costing, and target margins.
• High proficiency in Excel, project management tools, and product development documentation.
