R&D Project Specialist, Kylie Cosmetics

Location: New York, United States; hybrid work with the option to work remotely up to 50% of the month

Salary: $73,000–$90,000 per year, based on experience

Global beauty company developing and marketing products across fragrance, color cosmetics, skincare, and body care.

What you will do

• Manage R&D projects for prestige color cosmetics with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate technical development with Third Party Manufacturers and guide formula work toward company standards.
• Define formula specifications and initiate deviation or derogation reports when required.
• Track testing progress and results, including microbiology, safety, and efficacy testing.
• Coordinate claims testing plans and ensure timely delivery of supporting results.
• Maintain project documentation, technical reporting, and regulatory compliance throughout product development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in formulation development, either bench or Third Party Manufacturer experience.
• Organizational and project management skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Fluent English required.
