TL;DR
Software Engineer, Managed Services (AI): Supporting and evolving Java applications across cloud-native and legacy enterprise stacks with an accent on incident resolution, security remediation, automated testing, and AI-assisted operations. Focus on investigating complex L3 incidents, coordinating releases, building automation, and improving systems serving regulated Swiss public-sector clients.

What you will do
- Investigate and resolve L3 incidents through root-cause analysis, fixes, and regression testing.
- Maintain and evolve two Java applications: a cloud-native Spring Boot system and a legacy Java EE monolith.
- Apply security patches, remediate CVEs, coordinate releases, and maintain operational runbooks.
- Extend automated test suites and participate in the on-call rotation.
- Use AI tools for code generation, log analysis, incident triage, testing, and documentation.
- Identify automation opportunities and contribute to the AI-assisted operations model.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional Java development experience, with Java versions from 8 to 25.
- Experience with Spring Boot or Java EE/Jakarta EE and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle.
- Professional experience in application support, maintenance, or operations, beyond greenfield development.
- Ability to read and maintain existing code, work independently, and use AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor.
- Good written English required.
Nice to have
- Python, C#/.NET, or TypeScript/Node.js experience.
- Spring Boot 3/4, PostgreSQL JSONB, Oracle, WebLogic, observability, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Helm, Istio, or Terraform.
- Frontend experience with Vue.js, React, or Angular.
- Experience in regulated industries, domain-driven design, OpenAPI-first design, or automation development.
- German for client communication and familiarity with AI/ML APIs, LLM integration, or AI-assisted workflows.
