What you will do
- Lead the modernisation of legacy Java applications for improved performance, scalability, maintainability, and regulatory compliance.
- Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native microservices and high-performance applications on AWS or other major cloud platforms.
- Drive cloud migration, DevOps automation, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability, and customer-data migration.
- Design scalable REST APIs and event-driven integrations using technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Use AI to accelerate service refactoring and improve application intelligence, automation, and user experiences.
- Mentor developers, lead code reviews and architecture discussions, and collaborate with product, security, legal, and compliance teams.
Requirements
- More than 10 years of experience designing and building Java applications, including 15+ years of Java experience listed in the requirements.
- Proven experience modernising legacy systems in regulated environments and building large-scale, high-performance applications with technologies such as Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and microservices architecture.
- Strong DevOps experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Experience designing and managing APIs, integrating data-driven features, and using observability tools such as Prometheus and the ELK Stack.
- Experience mentoring developers through complex technical transformations and tuning application performance.
Nice to have
- Experience in iGaming, online casinos, sports betting, or fintech for gaming.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures, serverless technologies, and Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
