Java Engineer (Social Gaming)

Location: Remote from Poland, Bulgaria, Portugal, Romania, or Ukraine

What you will do

• Architect and build scalable Java solutions for a global social gaming platform serving up to 150 million customers.
• Write well-designed, testable, and scalable code across the full development cycle from sprint planning to release.
• Build and maintain high-load systems and contribute to scaling and automation initiatives.
• Coordinate development with engineering teams and product owners.
• Troubleshoot production issues using metrics, alerts, monitoring, and profiling.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Java Engineer with strong Java Core knowledge, Java 8+.
• Expertise in multithreading, high-load systems, SQL, and database optimization.
• Strong experience with Docker, Docker Swarm, and containerization.
• Experience with production monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Experience with SPA and modern mobile and web technologies.
• Good English communication skills in speaking and writing.

Nice to have

• Experience with ClickHouse, GCP, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Ebean, Protobuf, InfluxDB/Grafana, Google Services integration, or wallet service maintenance.
