Java Software Engineer

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria; office-based at 59 G.M. Dimitrov, NV Tower, Floor 12

What you will do

• Develop and scale high-performance backend applications, microservices, and REST APIs.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to optimize code, generate tests, and accelerate debugging.
• Deliver clean, SOLID, and highly testable code through CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborate with QA engineers, architects, and stakeholders in an international agile environment.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional Java experience.
• Production experience with Spring Boot and PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and unit testing.
• Professional fluency in English is required.

Nice to have

• German language skills.
• Python for scripting, automation, or data handling.
• Experience with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
• OpenShift, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP, or Kafka experience.
