Senior Technical Recruiter (AI) (AI/ML, Backend, Frontend, Mobile, Infrastructure): Owning difficult technical searches and hiring engineering and AI talent remotely from China with an accent on proactive headhunting, talent mapping, and deep technical profile assessment. Focus on advising engineering leaders, managing senior candidates through complex negotiations, and improving recruiting pipelines using market data.

What you will do
- Own technical searches end-to-end across AI/ML, backend, frontend, mobile, infrastructure, and engineering leadership.
- Build talent maps and sourcing strategies across AI startups, technology companies, research organisations, and technical communities.
- Personally identify and headhunt high-quality passive candidates.
- Assess technical profiles, individual contributions, and relevance to the organisation.
- Partner with engineering leaders to calibrate hiring standards, refine target profiles, and improve interview processes.
- Manage senior candidates through compensation discussions, competing offers, negotiations, and closing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of recruiting experience with substantial experience hiring software engineers and other technical talent.
- Track record of independently delivering difficult technical hires through proactive headhunting.
- Understanding of software engineering disciplines and ability to evaluate technical profiles beyond company names, titles, and keywords.
- Strong sourcing capability across LinkedIn, relevant platforms, communities, and professional networks.
- Ability to advise hiring managers using evidence from the talent market.
- Strong candidate management, negotiation, closing skills, ownership, judgement, and execution speed.
Nice to have
- Experience recruiting AI/ML engineers, researchers, distributed systems engineers, or senior technical leaders.
- Experience hiring internationally across multiple technical talent markets.
- Experience recruiting for an early-stage AI or technology company.
