Technical Recruiter

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY. The company is remote-first with meaningful office presence; R&D roles follow a hybrid model with two days per week in the San Francisco office.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end recruiting for technical roles across engineering, infrastructure, data, and product-adjacent teams.
• Partner with engineering leaders to define roles, calibrate scope and seniority, and align hiring priorities.
• Develop proactive sourcing strategies using outbound outreach, referrals, and targeted market mapping.
• Screen candidates for technical depth, role fit, and ability to succeed in a startup environment.
• Advise hiring managers on talent markets, compensation expectations, and hiring tradeoffs.
• Manage candidate experience, pipeline health, stakeholder communication, and recruiting process improvements through offer close.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical recruiting experience, ideally in B2B SaaS startups or high-growth technology companies.
• Experience hiring for high-volume engineering roles and senior or specialized positions in backend, platform, infrastructure, and machine learning.
• Strong outbound sourcing skills, including passive candidate engagement.
• Ability to understand complex technical roles and communicate compelling candidate narratives.
• Strong ownership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-influencing skills.
• Comfort working with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and lean teams.
